FILM PROJECT PARTNERS

Since 2003, Film Action has partnered with a variety of established and emerging filmmakers, helping them create new, thoughtful works for the silver screen. Film Action also partners with film festivals and other educational programs to support their work.

Most of the current projects are documentaries, but Film Action has worked with several filmmakers on their narrative projects as well. Completed film projects have won awards, been screened throughout the United States and are breaking new ground in their genre.

To become a project partner, the process is simple. Oregon-based filmmakers submit their projects for review by Film Action. If the project meets the organization's criteria and is approved by the board, then the project is produced under Film Action's nonprofit umbrella. Filmmakers work with Film Action staff to raise funds for the project. All individual contributions, grants and other donations to the project are tax deductible.

WOMEN'S VISION GRANTS

Despite growing equality for women in the workplace, studies show that key filmmaker roles are still dominated by men. The Women's Vision Film Grants were created to encourage women to take lead positions behind the camera by providing cash grants for women filmmakers based in Oregon.

These grants are part of Film Action's Women's Film Initiative, which is supported by corporations, individuals and special events. To contribute, click here.
