In partnership with the Hollywood Theatre’s Feminist March programming, PDX Latinx Pride is proud to co-present one of 2017’s most acclaimed films, the Chilean drama A FANTASTIC WOMAN (UNA MUJER FANTÁSTICA).
In A FANTASTIC WOMAN, Marina (Daniela Vega), a transgender woman working as a waitress in Santiago, Chile, sees the world unravel around her after the death of her older boyfriend. An award-winner in festivals and critics’ circles the world over, it ultimately won the 2017 Academy Award winner for Best Foreign Language Film and was praised for its compelling star performance by transgender actress Vega.
