Contamination

Series: Wyrd War Presents!

Easter is around the corner and Wyrd War invites you to roll away the stone with Luigi Cozzi’s sci-fi gore fest CONTAMINATION (1980). This maniacal micro-budget “homage” to Ridley Scott’s ALIEN weaves the far-out tale of a freight ship intercepted in New York Bay containing a mysteriously eviscerated crew and dozens of pulsating green space eggs that are eventually traced to a coffee plantation in Brazil (huh?) where we meet a Cthulhuian cyclops with a prehensile mouth and taste for human flesh! Financed in part by Colombian coke dealers and staring Ian McCulloch (ZOMBIE FLESH EATERS, DR. BUTCHER M.D.), CONTAMINATION boasts a muscular prog-funk score by Goblin and lives on in the hearts of “video nasty” fans as Cozzi’s unlikely serenade to the history of fantastic cinema. There will be chest explosions. Come early for the Wyrd War egg hunt before the film with lots of appropriately gruesome prizes!
