Lonnie Holley, Toody Cole, Ural Thomas, Michael Hurley and More

Series: Mississippi Records Music & Film

Mississippi Records celebrates its 15 year anniversary with a two-part concert and film event. Part two includes:

Lonnie Holley -
A truly great cosmic soul artist, Lonnie Holley is one of the greatest live acts you could ever see. Sincere and in-the-moment music that defies categorization. Lonnie has a long and storied career as a visual artist. He never plays the same thing twice and channels from a deep well of heavy spirituality.

Toody Cole -
From bands you know and love like Dead Moon, The Rats, The Range Rats, and Pierced Arrows - Toody Cole is the realest rock and roller currently on the planet. She'll be singing a couple songs with a mystery band at this show.

Michael Hurley -
One of the greatest singer / songwriters in the world, Hurley's been at it since the early '60s. He will deliver a soulful set of great tunes.

Ural Thomas -
Playing soul and R&B in Portland since the late 1950's, Ural Thomas is one of the most dynamic and powerful voices in our city. He'll be playing with a stripped down band for this show. Sure to be raw and raucous as well as sweet and soulful.

Eric Isaacson -
Mississippi Records founder Eric Isaacson will be presenting a short light slideshow detailing all the worst ideas the label, store, and film series at the Hollywood Theater ever generated. Learning from our mistakes!

Beyond all this, Mississippi will be selling many great titles from our catalog for only $5 each (as well as a few slightly more expensive ones) in the lobby and we'll be showing a couple short films between musical acts.
