In celebration of Stephen King's birthday, A “Pets Gone Wild” Double Feature!

Cujo (1983) – Donna and Vic Trenton are a couple raising a young son in suburban Castle Rock, Maine. Joe and Charity Camber are another couple in rural Castle Rock whose son, Brett, has a big, friendly St. Bernard named Cujo. Both the Trentons and the Cambers are experiencing marital friction about the time a bat bites poor Cujo on the nose. As the rabies virus renders Cujo increasingly psychotic, these families soon learn their domestic troubles don't compare to a 200-pound rabid St. Bernard out for blood.

Pet Sematary (1989) – Dr. Louis Creed moves his family (and the family cat, Church) from Chicago to Ludlow, Maine into a house with a trail behind it that leads to a graveyard for beloved pets killed by the busy road. Beyond this “sematary” is a more nefarious ancient burial ground that Louis learns about from their neighbor, Jud. This burial ground holds an evil power that Louis unwittingly releases because he does not heed Jud's ominous warning that “Sometimes dead is better.”
