The Cameraman with Live Organ

Series: Pipe Organ Pictures

An American silent comedy directed by Edward Sedgwick and an uncredited Buster Keaton, starring Buster Keaton and Marceline Day. After becoming infatuated with a pretty office worker for MGM Newsreels, Buster trades in his tintype operation for a movie camera and sets out to impress the girl (and MGM) with his work.

THE CAMERAMAN was Keaton's first film with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. It is considered by fans and critics to be Keaton in top form, and it was added to the National Film Registry in 2005 as for being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.”

Also showing: Laurel & Hardy in THE FINISHING TOUCH and a Max Fleischer OUT OF THE INKWELL cartoon.

The films will be accompanied by original musical scores by organist Dean Lemire, performed on the Beverly Ruth Nelson Memorial Organ.
