THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN! A
tribute to Eli Wallach.
THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN (1960): A bandit
(Eli Wallach) terrorizes a small Mexican farming village each year. The
village elders head into the United States to search for gunmen to
defend them. They end up with seven, each of whom comes for a different
reason. They must prepare the town to repulse an army of 40 bandits who
will arrive wanting food. An Americanization of Akira Kurosawa’s
SEVEN SAMURAI.
Directed by John Sturges and starring Yul Brynner, Steve
McQueen, Charles Bronson, and Robert Vaughn.
