The Running Man

This film plays as part of our "Stephen King 75th Birthday Film Series." In honor of the man's platinum birthday, we'll be raffling off a 1st edition book to one lucky moviegoer at each screening!

Arnold Schwarzenegger plays a former police officer framed for killing innocent civilians in a dystopian 2017 America. The most popular television program during this time is a game show called “The Running Man,” in which its contestants are hunted down by deadly "stalkers” but can win a full pardon...if they survive. But, nothing is as easy as it sounds and, as usual, Schwarzenegger has to kill a lot of bad guys to make things right.

Loosely based on the novel written under Stephen King's pseudonym, Richard Bachman, this story is a bit of a departure from King's usual horror fare. “It's time to start running!”
