Series: Stage Meets Screen

Artists Repertory Theatre’s Stage Meets Screen series, in conjunction with Indecent by Paula Vogel, presents Barbra Streisand’s romantic musical drama YENTL!

Set in turn-of-the-century Poland, YENTL tells the story of a young Jewish woman (Streisand) who disguises herself as a boy to receive an education in Talmudic Law – until she falls in love with another student (Mandy Patinkin) and his fiancé (Amy Irving) falls in love with her. Directed, co-written, and co-produced by Streisand, who became the first woman to ever win Best Director at the Golden Globes, YENTL is her funny, delicate, timeless, and intense masterwork.
