This screening kicks off the 2017 PDX Latin American Film Festival. Director Robert Sneider will be in attendance for a post-film Q&A. The premium ticket price also includes admission to the after-party at VeloCult with DJ Michael Bruce.
Based on the novel CIUDADES DESIERTAS by José Agustín, YOU'RE KILLING ME SUSANA follows Eligio (Gael García Bernal) on his quest to reclaim the woman he loves. It is the journey of an immature Mexican actor into the heart of the American Midwest, into a social environment as frigid as the weather, but above all into his own soul, to confront the contradictions between his macho idiosyncrasies and the love he feels for his woman. Eligio (Gael García Bernal), un carismático y mediocre actor de 28 años, vive en la fiesta.
