Molly, the eldest child at a baby farm hidden deep in a swamp, must rescue the others when their cruel master decides that one of them will be disposed of. Molly leads her little flock of orphans out through the alligator-infested swamp.

Born in 1892, Mary Pickford was responsible for many film industry "firsts." She was the first actor to have complete control over her films - production, editing, writing, and occasionally directing. She was the first woman to receive top billing on theater marquees and the first actor to receive residuals from film distribution (previously, actors were paid a flat fee per performance). She co-founded United Artists with Charlie Chaplin, Douglas Fairbanks, Sr., and D.W. Griffith, and was one of the founding members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The Mary Pickford Foundation continues her legacy of philanthropy through film archiving and preservation, as well as commissioning new scores for silent films.
