LOS LOBOS tells the story of two children and their mother, living as undocumented immigrants in the US. Locked in a shabby room, the two brothers escape tedium by inventing stories and listening to tapes their mom has made for them.
"It was very important to me to draw on the stories and experiences of the migrant community in Albuquerque for the production of this film," explains director Samuel Kishi. "I intended to paint a portrait by mixing both fictional and documentary elements, and compositing fictional characters atop actual locals, their surroundings, and the multiculturalism that has built a thriving migrant community.” LOS LOBOS won the Jury Grand Prix Generation Award at Berlin Film Festival, among 18 other awards.
Max y Leo, de 8 y 5 años, viajan de México a Albuquerque, EEUU, con su madre Lucía en busca de una vida mejor.
