My Best Friend's Wedding

Series: Fashion in Film

It is Fashion in Film’s 10-year anniversary! And we’re going to celebrate with a crop top-laden screening of 1997’s rom-com MY BEST FRIEND’S WEDDING. In it we have Julia Roberts (in a rare semi-villain role) as Jules Potter who suddenly realizes she's head over heels for her long-time friend Michael, played by Dermot Mulroney. But this revelation came to her after it’s revealed he's about to tie the knot with young preppy Kimberly (Cameron Diaz). Cue the drama! Jules goes into full-on diabolical scheming, determined to break up the wedding and win his heart. With her witty gay bestie (Rupert Everett in full tilt charm mode) in tow, she embarks on a wild journey filled with laughter, tears, and at least two memorable musical interludes. Can she pull off her grand plan and win true love while wearing iconic lavender satin? We shall see!

Celebrate 10 years of Fashion in Film with a pre-show montage of all our favorite bits from the last decade! Costumes are fun and films at the Hollywood are too.
