Ollin: Social Justice Film Series presents director Guillermo del Toro’s classic film PAN'S LABYRINTH in 35mm! Portland City Commissioner Nick Fish will be in attendance for a post-film discussion on the film’s social justice themes. 

Released in 2006, PAN'S LABYRINTH is a fantasy set in Spain’s post-Civil War. A young Ofelia enters a fascist world when her mother marries and moves in with her new stepfather, a tyrannical military officer. She soon discovers a secret labyrinth and meets a faun who guides her into saving herself and her ailing mother. PAN'S LABYRINTH leads us into a fantasy world complete with inspired imagery, symbolism, and magical creatures that take us through a journey between good and evil. Written and produced by Mexican director Guillermo del Toro, the film stars Sergi Lopez, Maribel Verdu, and Ivana Baquero.
