In Alfred Hitchcock's tense psychological thriller, Uncle Charlie (Joseph Cotten) visits his sister and her family in Santa Rosa. He is a very charming man, but his niece (Teresa Wright) slowly realizes that he may be in fact the "Merry Widow" killer sought by the authorities.
