The Big Lebowski with The Bavanairres

Series: Reverb & Seduction

This 35mm screening of The Coen Brothers 1998 satirical masterpiece “The Big Lebowski'' will be preceded by a performance by The Bavanairres (members of Federale, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Dandy Warhols, The Delines, Roselit Bone, & The Silver Triplets). The entry music will include beloved Lebowski source cues such as “Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In)”, “Tumbling Tumbleweeds”, “The Man In Me” and more. Sing along and raise a bong to salute the Dude!

When "The Dude" Lebowski is mistaken for a millionaire Lebowski, he seeks restitution for his soiled rug, enlists the help of his bowling buddy Walter Sobchak, and gets caught up in a seemingly complicated kidnapping. Starring Jeff Bridges in his iconic role as The Dude, “Lebowski” is frequently cited by stoners and film scholars alike as a cult classic & one of the best & most quotable comedies of the 1990s. A notable feature of “Lebowski" is its use of popular music source material in lieu of a score.

This Film & Music event continues the “Reverb & Seduction” series, curated by Collin Hegna of the bands Federale & The Brian Jonestown Massacre.
